GET INVOLVED

We believe that things happen better when we work together. We are always so grateful when anyone wants to join with us for the benefit of those in our community.

Here are a few ways that you could get involved in what we are doing:

SHARE YOUR TIME

We are always keen to welcome new volunteers into our family! Perhaps you could join us on one of our community projects, or come along to one of our Sunday gatherings so that we can get to know you more. You can visit any of the page links below to find out more about what we do and how you can get involved, scroll down for some info about volunteering opportunities, or give us a call or email for a general chat.

SHARE YOUR TREASURE

All of our community work relies on fundraising to keep us going. We are grateful for any and all donations and gifts towards our various projects. You can give via the links below, or contact us for our bank account information.

Alternatively if you have items you think we might be able to make use of in our work, please give us a call or email to discuss with our team.

SHARE YOUR TALENTS

Maybe there are other ways you'd like to get involved in what we're doing. Perhaps a partnership with your own church or community project?
Maybe you could help us spread the word about what we're doing in Maidstone?
Maybe you have something else in mind that you'd like to start and wonder if we could help?

We are always keen to work collaboratively in our community, so please do get in touch with us if you'd like to chat!

VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES

Monday / Thursday 9.30am-11.30am

Celebrate Family Food needs help on a Monday and Thursday each week to prepare our recipe boxes for local families.

Help us weigh out, chop up and package all of the ingredients for the recipe boxes to go out in the afternoon.

Volunteers who can drive are also helpful, as we have to collect our meat fresh from the butchers each week!

This can be an ad-hoc volunteering opportunity, without commitment to help regularly.

Monday / Thursday 1.30pm-4.30pm

Our Stay & Play sessions are always looking for more friendly volunteers to welcome families in and help them to feel comfortable in the church space. Volunteers might have specific responsibilities such as making cups of tea, helping us engage the families in the toys available, or even running an activity such as a craft or big game. We are keen to add value to these spaces however we can, so volunteers can bring their own creative ideas and we can try new things!

Tuesday / Wednesday 3pm-4.30pm

Celebrate Kids relies on a team each Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon to help facilitate our Celebrate Juniors clubs for primary school children. Support our team by coming along to help with engaging the children in the session activities and being a positive and enthusiastic influence. Ideally some commitment to regular attendance is best for the children.

Friday 4-6pm

Our Celebrate Youth Space would greatly benefit from some support in helping us to facilitate a fortnightly space for young people to come and spend time. The space is very informal and flexible to what suits the young people best, so volunteers are asked to just be welcoming, open to a chat or willing to listen, or bring any creative ideas to help engage the young people in something enriching.

School holiday volunteering

We run holiday clubs for children in the Easter, Summer and Christmas school breaks. We have an amazing team of dedicated volunteers, but are always happy to welcome more faces in to join us! Volunteers are essential is helping the clubs to run smoothly, from preparing the daily hot lunches to facilitating games, crafts and special activities. Dates are listed on our School Holiday Events page, but we usually ask volunteers to be available for as much of the event as they can so that children have some familiarity.
